Chaithra J holds an M.Sc. in Biosciences with specialization in Botanical Sciences and Biotechnology. As a faculty member of the Biology department she engages in teaching biology, coordinating research activities and leading environmental awareness programs.

Projects and Research Highlights
1) Flora of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru
Assisted in comprehensive biodiversity documentation and data compilation for the flora survey. Focused on identifying and cataloguing plant species to aid airport landscaping and long-term conservation planning.
2) AMARA Green Initiative Audit, Mangaluru
Participated in ecological auditing, field data verification, urban plantation monitoring and mangrove restoration activities. Emphasized tree survival rates and enhancement of urban green cover.
3) Antimicrobial Activity of Selected Medicinal Plants Against Pathogens Isolated from Basella alba
Postgraduate research project involving screening of plant extracts for antimicrobial properties against isolated pathogens.
