Dr. Rashmi Rao’s research in the field of Behavioural Neurosciences has led to publications in reputed journals like Annals of Neurosciences, Journal of Biosciences and presented at major annual neuroscience forums like the Indian Academy of Neurosciences. In her most recent capacity, she has contributed to research training and scientific capacity building. She has co-guided over ten Masters research projects and delivered hands-on workshops to more than 150 undergraduate and postgraduate students, strengthening foundational research skills in neuroscience and biotechnology. She has standardized multiple behavioural, biochemical and neurochemical protocols that continue to guide postgraduate and doctoral research scholars. She has also contributed effectively towards organising national and international conferences, as well as served as a resource person in training programmes.
In addition to her scientific expertise, Dr. Rao has a parallel background in parenting science, early childhood development and experiential learning, shaped by her training during her time in Munich, Germany.
She integrates her neuroscience background with educational practices to support student wellbeing and emotional resilience. Her interdisciplinary perspective spanning behavioural Neuroscience, biotechnology, parent-child interactions and experiential learning positions her uniquely to contribute to research and programmes at the intersection of brain, behaviour, and education.
