Dr. Devadas P. Bhat

ABOUT

Dr. Devadas Bhat is a Lecturer in Chemistry and a materials scientist specializing in biodegradable magnesium-based alloys for biomedical applications. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Lille, France, in collaboration with NUS Singapore, where he developed corrosion-resistant and biocompatible Mg implants. His research spans alloy design, surface engineering, nanocomposites and advanced materials characterization. With 20+ publications across biomaterials, coatings and functional nanomaterials, he is deeply committed to both research and education. Driven by a strong passion for teaching, he actively mentors students and integrates scientific inquiry into classroom learning.
