Research Labs

Centre for Ecology and sustainability studies (CESS)

With a focus on new generation interdisciplinary research that connects data driven biodiversity assessment with climate policy, corporate ESG metrics and education for sustainable development, CESS focuses to scale as a global open source tool for urban biodiversity tracking and climate accountability.

Centre for Sustainable & Smart Biomaterials (CSSB)

Bridging Biology, Materials Science and Medicinal Chemistry; the lab focuses on creating sustainable biomaterials such as magnesium- and silica-based implants while advancing drug discovery for regenerative and therapeutic applications. By combining in-vitro testing with advanced materials characterisation, chemical design strategies and mechanical evaluation; CSSB explores innovative coatings, bioactive compounds and eco-conscious designs for next-generation regenerative and functional materials.

Centre for Affect, Behaviour and Cognition (C-ABC)

The Learning and Neurocognition research group focuses on understanding the interaction of cognitive processes, emotional regulation, social context and media exposure in shaping learning and wellbeing. Through methodologically robust and ethically compliant research, it explores how variables such as anxiety and stress; modulate attention, memory, executive function leading to changes in academic performance. Its findings are designed to inform evidence-based interventions at the college, family and eventually policy levels.
