MANGALURU: Fourteen students trained at CFAL, Kuntikan, have been selected in the JEE-advanced 2015, the results of which were declared on Thursday. The selection process for IITs consists of two stages – JEE main and JEE advanced.
In all, 13.03 lakh students had appeared for JEE main 2015. Of them, only 1.5 lakh were selected for the JEE advanced which was held on May 24. A total of 26,456 students have qualified.
The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to bachelor’s, integrated master’s and dual degree programmes in 16 IITs and Indian School of Mines .
Since its inception in 2009, 62 students from CFAL have been selected in IIT entrance exams from 2011 – 2015, Severine Rosario, principal stated.
