13 students trained at CFAL, Kuntikan – Mangalore have been selected in the JEE-advanced 2013.

14 lakh candidates had appeared for JEE Main on 7 advanced test), among these 1.5 lakh students were deemed eligible to write the JEE-Advanced exam on 2 2013.

JEE-Advanced has two centers in Karnataka, Bangalore and Mangalore. 369 students appeared from the Mangalore centre and only 40 students obtained ranks. Among the 40, 13 or 33% among the students selected are from CFAL.

CFAL had developed students for 2 years, with the mission of sending students from this region to the best institutes in the country. In the IIT-JEE 2011 & 2012 too, the institute brought exceptional results with 22 students trained at the centre making it to the selected list. The development consists of 1400 hours of class room training, unique course material, customized tests and mock exams. Experienced and dedicated professors mentor the students and it has been tailor-made for professional entrance exams including JEE-Advanced, KVPY (IISc), JEE-Main, CET and BITSAT. Constant monitoring and individual attention to students has contributed to these phenomenal results.

The IIT’s are the most prestigious engineering institutions in India and are renowned throughout the world. Admissions to IITs will be based only on All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced) subject to the condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates of their Boards in applicable categories. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Advanced) is the entrance exam for the IIT’s and it tests candidate’s proficiency in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Admission would be granted based on all India rank, category rank and the choices submitted by the candidates at the time of counseling. Students getting admissions in IIT’s and successfully completing all the engineering degree are assured of good job placements.

The 16 IITs are IIT-Bhubaneshwar, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Hyderabad, IITIndore, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Madras, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Patna, IIT-Rajasthan, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-Ropar and IIT-Varanasi. . In addition to IIT’s, ISM Dhanbad and other specified centrally funded institutes also take admissions based on JEE Advanced results.

Other centrally funded institutes admitting students through JEE Advanced results are:
IIT Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad along with Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Rae Bareli, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) at Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Indian Maritime University (TS Chanakya, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai campus, Marine Engineering & Research Institute, Kolkata, National Maritime Academy, Chennai, Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam).

There is a general misconception that getting into IIT is extremely difficult if not impossible and hence in engineering, AIEEE or CET was the only choice. CFAL had started the training program with the aim of changing this paradigm and the results speak for themselves. This establishes the truth that we have very intelligent students in this region but there had been a lack of proper guidance and information. Now that CFAL has overcome this void, students of this region can avail this facility as is locally available. In 2014 CFAL will be starting a super 30 batch, that will be integrated batch with NIOS with the vision of getting all the students ranks in the JEE –Advanced.

CFAL is located at Kuntikan junction in Mangalore and principal Mrs.Severine Rosario can be contacted at 2249220/9845737120.
