CFAL Students among the Toppers of Mangalore in NEET 2018

3 students of Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) have secured more than 560 marks in NEET 2018 held on 06th May, which is considered as the top score in this exam. These students are eligible to get seat in any medical college of their choice in Karnataka. Rashmi Kasangeri secured All India Rank 11 in category.

NEET is the national level examination for admission to MBBS & BDS courses. CBSE is the conducting authority which organizes the NEET examination every year in various cities across the country. NEET exam is the only gateway for admissions into medical & dental UG courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of the country. All medical institutions consider NEET score for providing admission in MBBS/BDS courses.
13,26,725 students appeared for NEET 2018 examination and as many as 7,14,562 students have qualified for the National Eligibility –cum-Entrance Test(NEET) counselling admissions. The qualifying criteria for the unreserved category is 50 percentile and the scores are in the range 691-119. The qualifying scores for OBC, SC and ST if 118-96. Students who have scored marks within the cut-off score are declared qualified for counselling.
Pathyush P Poduval, student of Centre for advanced Learning (CFAL), Mangalore has been selected for the team of five Indian students to represent India in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) 2018.
In 2017, CFAL student Aditya Prakash was one among the six students who represented India in the International Math Olympiad held in Brazil.
